WHAT IS BHCOE ACCREDITATION?
BHCOE Accreditation® is an earned certification and a distinction among ABA providers that demonstrates an organization’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement in applied behavior analysis. Behavioral Health Center of Excellence® (BHCOE®) grants accreditations to organizations who meet the standards for clinical and operational quality.
BHCOE is the international accrediting body specific to applied behavior analysis. It offers different types of accreditations. These include a one-year Preliminary Accreditation for those organizations who are new, looking to improve or preparing to pursue the Full Accreditation, a one-to-three-year Full Accreditation for all provider organizations, and specialty accreditations for Telehealth service providers and Practica sites.
ABA providers interested in achieving BHCOE Accreditations are supported through an independent third-party evaluation. The requisite standards are based on quality measures for ABA determined by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
BHCOE undergoes regular review by its own accreditor, international authority, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), which ensures that BHCOE continues to meet guidelines for equity, accessibility and responsiveness in setting and updating its standards.

Differentiate from the Ordinary
“Our research found that parents of children with autism and related disorders utilize on average six service providers for their child [before finding one that is effective].” The BHCOE distinction helps you stand out as an organization that cares about quality, patient satisfaction, and staff satisfaction.
